Christina Jones has a knack for writing love stories that practically crackle with honest-to-goodness sexual tension and chemistry. She does not disappoint with Hints of Spice. I loved the dynamic between Cin and Landry, and her mother's blatant attempts at matchmaking made me smile. This is a quick read (well, it took me a while to finish reading it, but that was do to work commitments and trying to finish writing my own book) but this is a quick read and it's an incredibly enjoyable one.
A definite 5-star read for me! :)

All I can say is this book lives up to its title. Landry has me thinking about switching my lawn service!!! I liked Cin, but I fell in love with her after reading more about her. Her mom, her baby...this was really an awesome read, but Jesus Landry!!! I loved how he fell for Cin and went hard for her!! 5 star read, hell 10 stars!!! Get it, you won't be disappointed!! Another awesome read Christina!!
Landry and Cinnamon with nutmeg (lol) and sage mixed in, what a sweet combination. I loved Sage and Cinnamon's relationship with each other. Vera was a uppity snake and Maggie.. I understood that was her friend but wrong is wrong and Vera wouldn't have known what to do with Landry anyway. Both women judged Cin without getting to know her and Cinnamon got the last laugh.
This was Cin's story from Love on the Highlight Reel.. We got the chance to see what happened to Jordan Johnson's best friend and relationship therapist, after she graduated. Sage and little Nutmeg stole my heart in this story. Land was the perfect man for a lovely person like Cin.. His beautiful body and that panty wetting Louisiana accent.. Wow makes a girl want to hollah! He also never judged Cin based on her former life. Every novel needs a little drama, and Messy Vera provided just that. This was a short sweet story with a sexy hint of Louisiana spice.
I must say that the plot was nice. I enjoyed the chemistry both Landry and Cin shared. I love how the story did not seemed rush even though it was a fairy quick read. Landry’s character didn't really intrigued me. Being that I am from Louisiana the French dilate threw me off. There’s not a strong connection with every southern black man from the parishes of Louisiana that truly speak French. The French talk was a stretch. Other than that this was a nice sweet read.
I wasn't expecting hear anything else from Cin after " Love on the Highlight Reel", but surprise, surprise, Christina Jones had other ideas. "Hints of Spice" is a nice, smooth flowing novella that I truly wished would have been a novel, lol. Cin and Landry had so much chemistry that it oozed from the pages from beginning to end. Hopefully Mrs. Jones will come with a little more from this Intriguing couple, and don't get me started on Pru and Xavier who were definitely screaming out the fact that they deserve their story to be told. Hint, hint, lol... I can not end this review with mentioning, Sage, Cin's mother. I'm still laughing at some of her antics as far as Landry, lol. I wouldn't mind her having her own book to give more insight on the true Sage Bradley...
Oh, and I absolutely loved Yara!!! T loves the kids, lol...

If you want comedy, romance, & drama, then this is the book for you. Just enough of each & not too much. Cin and Landry were a hot couple . Loved Cin's confidence & determination to make her and her family's life easier by her standards and not societies. It was refreshing to see that Landry wasn't hypocritical in his thinking about Cin being a former stripper, being that he spent a lot of money & time in a stripper joint himself. Glad he stood up to his sister, who couldn't stay out of his business. Sage, the mom was off the chain & comical. She helped to make this story carry the humor side. I liked how you weaved Cin & her baby girl into the the story as a package deal . Landry didn't seem to have any qualms about this & he and the baby were adorable together. Let's just say Vera got what she deserved in the end & so did Maggie, with her snotty behind.
Christina Jones has written a novella, Hints of Spice, that features Cin Bradley, one of the female minor characters who appeared in Love on the Highlight Reel. Cin has paid off all student loans, graduated with a Masters degree, left the stripping business, packed up her mother and baby, bought a house and moved to start her new life. What an accomplishment!
Her "new life" includes meeting one Landry Augustin, a hunk of a man who is instantly attracted to Cin.
There are some bumps in their budding relationship because of Cin's past. There is also a "hater" named Vera who gets all up in Cin's mix.
Loved this novella. I really hope that author, Christina Jones will expand it into a full blown out novel, and perhaps a series. There is a great deal of story potential with the array of characters that are introduced. Hints of Spice is a hit, and I recommend it.
